I'll take, "Things you can find in a parking lot for $200."

iPhone, (c) Matt Larson, 2008

Today, Jet and I stayed in the car while Mom ran inside for a few items at Publix and Borders. At Borders a beautiful white Rolls-Royce pulls up a few slots away ... so I grabbed my Polaroid camera. The next stop was Publix and after a few minutes, I noticed all the carts outside and how the light was hitting all the handles of them--I thought it might make a cool shot too.

Very happy with today's finds--it was hard work. :0)

Sometimes, "the image" finds you and you just have to be ready and open for it. I guess that's what living in the moment means?

Seagull @ Mainsail Arts Festival

Polaroid 600, (c) Matt Larson, 2008

Went to St. Pete to attend the Mainsail Arts Festival this weekend. CONGRATULATIONS to our many FRIENDS that won some prize money! Walking back to the car, I looked up and saw this bird circling above and snapped this shot. Not bad for a Polaroid! I actually like the composition a lot--the three elements of the seagull, tree and cloud. I even like the rim light on the seagull's upper wing and the cropping of the lower one. Serendipity is a good thing. I'll take it.

New Work -- Polaroid Triptychs

This is a sneak peak of some of my Polaroid triptychs I plan on exhibiting this summer. More information to come later ... but stay tuned, you'll be first to hear of the date, time and location.

I also plan to show many of the single images from earlier postings, as well as new ones as they develop in the weeks ahead. The exhibition will most like be a wall installation of 400 plus Polaroids. It will be fun!

And if you're wondering, these will be sold as "originals," one-of-a-kind. With that said, if you see anything you like on this blog so far, shoot me an email (matt.larson@mac.com) and I'll put your name on it (as sold when the exhibit goes up).
