Little window shopping this past weekend led me to this wonderful Buddha being displayed at an antique store. I've never seen one like this. I love the streak created by the flash of the camera. I think some light squeaked through my fingers as I tried to block out the flash. I searched and could not find the meaning of a "Buddha holding babies." Do you know?

It means new opportunities are on the way...
This Buddha is surrounded by happy children. Symbolic of his natural
affinity for children and the joy that they bring. The Buddha with children is said to bring the joyful laughter of children into any home. Many have said he is the guardian of the young and innocent, embracing them with his loving grace.

Tomorrow is Buddha's birthday.
He needs to lay off the cake.
